Consumer FAQ

Why can't I see my Live Geocasts on the website?

If you are broadcasting privately ( this is the default ) then you need to login to the website and click your "Live link" on the Control Panel.

Which phones does Live Media GPS run on?

•Android OS 2.1 or above
•Windows Phone 7.5
•Windows Mobile 5/6
•iPhone 3Gs and above
•Blackberry OS 4.7 and above, e.g. Storm

How do I install Live Media on my phone?

IncaX for the iPhone is available in the iTunes App Store

For the other mobile platforms either go to the Download page

Or using the web browser on your phone enter www.incax.com

If your phone is not a Windows Mobile but is recognized as also being capable of running Live Media GPS you will be redirected to the appropriate download link for your phone.

Select the download link for the version of Live Media GPS you wish to install and then follow the instructions on your phone.

When I try to install Live Media GPS on my Windows Mobile 5 device it says I don't have the correct version of .NET


Not all Windows Mobile 5 devices have the .NET Compact Framework version 2 pre-installed.

Connect your mobile up to Active Sync and click the following link to install the additional software. Download .NET Compact Framework v2,

What do I need to enter on the registration screen?


When you first run Live Media GPS you need to create yourself a user account. Select any name and password of your choice that are longer than 4 characters in length. If the user name has already been taken, try another name or use your email address as this is unique. For more information please refer to the user manual.

Why can't everybody see my Live Geocasts?


By default Live Media GPS is a private network, this is to protect your privacy. However, you can make your broadcasts public by using the Setting menu item in the Windows Mobile app and selecting "Public broadcasting".

Why do I have give you my email address to become a public broadcaster?


We require email addresses from all public broadcasters. This is primarily for traceability in the event someone reports that a broadcaster is publishing unsuitable material. The IP addresses of all public broadcasters are also stored by the system. Please also refer to the Terms and Conditions of using the Live Media service.

What is my Public PIN used for?


Your Public PIN is used so you can broadcast semi-publically – people you share your PIN with can use it to login using your user name / PIN and view your Live Geocasts.

Enterprise  FAQ

What's the difference between the IncaX Geocast Services and Live Media GPS?


Live Media GPS is for a single user, whereas the Geocast Services Platform is for multiple users within a group or organization.

Which platforms does the Geocast Services run on?


Microsoft's Azure Cloud Services Platform
Windows Server 2003 or above

What type of Azure account is required to deploy the IncaX Geocast Services?

The IncaX Geocast Service only requires a basic Azure account with Azure storage configured.

How easy or complex is it deploy IncaX to Azure?

Very easy, all you need to do is to change the deployment package configuration file to include your IncaX license key and your Azure storage account details. Having done that you simply deploy the package to your Azure account.

What's the difference between a proximity alert and a Geofence?

A proximity alert gets fired when a mobile device is within a certain distance of a marker, whereas Geofence alerts relate to movement in and out of the fenced area.

How much does it cost to license IncaX Enterprise Geocast Services?
